July 16, 2026: The wait for Prabhas’ much-anticipated period action drama Fauzi now has an end date. The makers on Thursday announced that the film will hit theatres worldwide on December 3, 2026, while unveiling a striking new poster featuring the actor in a battle-scarred avatar.
Sharing the announcement on X, the team wrote, “Agyatparva ENDS. THE REBELLION BEGINS. #Fauzi GRAND RELEASE WORLDWIDE ON 3rd DECEMBER 2026.”
The newly released poster presents Prabhas in the middle of a war-torn landscape, bruised and bloodied, with a rifle resting beside him. The rugged look offers a glimpse into the film’s gritty wartime setting and signals a departure from the actor’s larger-than-life commercial roles.
Directed by Hanu Raghavapudi, Fauzi is set against the backdrop of the 1940s and follows the journey of a soldier serving in the Azad Hind Force. The film marks the first collaboration between Prabhas and Raghavapudi, a filmmaker known for blending emotional storytelling with period settings.

The project is also expected to unfold as a two-part saga. While the first film introduces the story, the second instalment is planned as a prequel, expanding the narrative and the world built around its central character.
Produced by Mythri Movie Makers, the film also features veteran actor Anupam Kher in a pivotal role.
Earlier this year, Fauzi made headlines after photographs from the film’s sets were leaked online. Director Hanu Raghavapudi later appealed to fans on social media to refrain from sharing unauthorised images or details, saying the leaks could affect the viewing experience.
More recently, the production grabbed attention after actor Rajesh Sharma was hospitalised following an insect bite while shooting for the film. Reports said he received medical treatment and recovered after the incident.
With a release date now confirmed and promotions expected to gather momentum in the coming months, Fauzi is shaping up to be one of the biggest theatrical releases on the 2026 calendar, adding another ambitious period drama to Prabhas’ growing lineup.
