August 2, 2026: After days of staying away from social media, actor Rashmika Mandanna has finally shared a heartfelt health update, revealing that she suffered a painful hip injury while filming her upcoming action thriller Mysaa. The actor reassured fans that she is recovering well, even as she admitted that the setback has forced her to slow down.
Sharing a glimpse of her recovery through a series of candid photos, Rashmika posted cheerful selfies, snapshots of desserts, puzzle-solving sessions, moments with her pet dogs, and thoughtful gifts she received from loved ones. While the pictures reflected positivity, her caption revealed the extent of the injury she has been dealing with.
Rashmika Calls It Her Third Injury in a Row
Breaking her silence, Rashmika revealed that this is the third consecutive injury she has suffered, prompting her to rethink the way she treats her body.
“I was really hoping that no one would find out,” she wrote, adding that she had been missing from social media because she was recovering. Reflecting on the repeated injuries, the actor admitted she needs to stop treating her body “like a machine” and pay closer attention to her health.
What Happened on the ‘Mysaa’ Set?
The actor went on to explain that one of the tendons in her right hip detached during a dance sequence for Mysaa. According to Rashmika, the tendon now needs time to heal before she can regain normal movement in her leg.
Describing the film as the most physically demanding project she has worked on so far, she hinted that the intense action sequences pushed her to her limits.
Despite the painful injury, Rashmika assured fans there is no cause for concern.
“It hurts, but it’s not unbearable,” she shared, adding that she believes the forced break may have been life’s way of making her slow down after months of nonstop work.
Recovery Comes With Desserts and Puzzles
While recovery has kept her away from film sets and workouts, Rashmika revealed she has been making the most of her downtime. She joked that since she cannot run or exercise for now, she has turned into a “dessert monster.”
The actor also discovered a new hobby during her recovery, saying she has spent plenty of time solving puzzles and was pleasantly surprised by how much she enjoys them.
Ending her note on a cheerful note, Rashmika thanked fans for their concern and promised to keep them updated as she continues to heal.
‘Mysaa’ Promises High-Octane Action
Rashmika has been busy filming Mysaa, directed by Rawindra Pulle and backed by Unformula Films. The emotional action thriller, set against a tribal backdrop, marks her first female-led pan-India action film.
The project has already generated buzz for featuring what the makers describe as India’s first female-led underwater fight sequence. Earlier promotional material showcased Rashmika in a fierce, blood-soaked avatar, hinting at an intense and action-packed role.
Mysaa is expected to arrive in theatres in 2026, with the official release date and teaser yet to be announced.
