Year 2020 is a year of cheer for Bollywood Film and film fans. The year 2020 will begin with the release of  “Bhangra Paa Le”, on January 3, starring Vicky”s brother Sunny Kaushal, Rukshar Dhillon and Shriya Pilgaonkar and “Sab Kushal Mangal” with actor Akshaye Khanna. Two Star kids will also be making their debut in bollywood — Padmini Kolhapure”s son Priyaank Sharma and Ravi Kishan”s daughter Riva Kishan.

On Jan 3 there is another film that will hit the screen – Ramesh Sippy’s Shimla Mirchi starring Hema Malini, Rakul Preet and Rajkumar Rao

Among the big films to hit theaters in Jan 10, is the 3D film “Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior”- the battle of Sinhagad in 1670 that was fought between Tanhaji Malusare and Udaybhan Singh Rathod. The power packed star line up in the film are  Ajay Devgn and  Kajol. This movie also also reunite the “Omkara” co-stars Ajay and Saif Ali Khan.

Deepika Padukone-starrer “Chhapaak”, which is based on the real-life story of acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal, hitting the screens will also release on the same day as Tanhaji.

There is more excitement coming your way with Remo D”souza”s “Street Dancer 3D” ,  actor Varun Dhawan, Shraddha Kapoor and Nora Fateh  dancing their way to theaters on January 24, 2020.  The same day will also witness Street Dancer 3D fight box office space with Kangana Ranaut ‘Panga’

A week later,  Saif Ali Khan-Tabu-starrer “Jawaani Jaaneman” will hit the screens on January 31. The rom-com will mark the debut of Alaia F., daughter of Pooja Bedi.

Another film to watch out for is Vidhu Vinod Chopra”s directorial project “Shikara – A love letter from Kashmir” slated for release on February 7, 2020.

While the Valentine”s Day is reserved for Imtiaz Ali”s next ,  Mohit Suri”s “Malang”, starring Anil Kapoor, Disha Patani, Aditya Roy Kapoor and Kunal Kemmu, will release on February 7.

The February line up include “Bhoot Part 1- The Haunted Ship” on February 21. Actor Ayushmann Khurrana”s “Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan”. During the same same month “Thappad” featuring actress Taapsee Pannu will release on February 28.

In the month of March the biggest film to hit the screen is Tiger Shroff ‘s  “Baaghi 3” slated to release on March 6. The ‘Kargil Girl’ featuring Janhvi Kapoor playing the role of IAF pilot is scheduled for March 13,2020.

Actress Janhvi Kapoor will be seen essaying the role of Indian Air Force combat pilot Gunjan Saxena in “The Kargil Girl”, which is set to release on March 13.

The other line up of movies in the year 2020 are

  1. Rajkummar Rao-starrer “Turram Khan”, which has been renamed “Chhalaang”, – release on March 13.
  2. “Angrezi Medium”, to release on March 20, will bring Irrfan Khan back on the big screen.
  3.  Sooryavanshi” — part of filmmaker Rohit Shetty”s Cop Universe, will release on March 27.

APRIL LINE UP is equally exciting with movies starring Ranveer Singh, Amitabh Bachchan, Ayushman Khurrana and a film from Anurag Basu:

  1. April will begin big with Ranveer Singh playing legendary cricketer Kapil Dev in “”83″.  April 10 release.
  2. “Lootcase” will also hit the screens on April 10.
  3. Hardik Mehta”s “Roohi Afza” set for April 17
  4. “Gulabo Sitabo” – a Shoojit Sircar directorial with Amitabh Bachchan and Ayushmann Khurrana fronting the cast.
  5. Amitabh”s “Chehre”, which has the megastar also directing the upcoming film”s chasing-and-combat scenes, will release on April 24.
  6. Anurag Basu”s “Ludo” is also set to release on April 24.

The May Line up are: 

  1.  David Dhawan bringing back “Coolie No. 1” in a new form with actors Varun Dhawan and Sara Ali Khan on May 1.
  2. “Dil Bechara”, starring Sushant Singh Rajput, will hit theatres on May 8.
  3. May 8: Ribhu Dasgupta”s Bollywood version of “The Girl on the Train” starring Parineeti Chopra
  4. Actress Vidya Balan”s “Shakuntala Devi” based on the life of the late mathematics genius Shakuntala Devi – May 8.
  5. Akshay”s “Laxmmi Bomb”, a remake of the super-hit Tamil horror comedy – May 22
  6. May 22: Salman Khan”s “Radhe”, helmed by Prabhudheva

June releases 

  1. “Indoo Ki Jawani” and “Nikamma” – June 5.
  2. “Khaali Peeli” – June 12,
  3. “Mumbai Saga” by Sanjay Gupta on June 19.
  4. June 26 – Kangana Ranaut as lateTamil Nadu chief minister J. Jayalalithaa in “Thalaivi”.

JULY Releases:

  1. July 10 -have “Sadak 2” from the Bhatts family.
  2. July 31 -“Shamshera” starring Ranbir Kapoor, Sanjay Dutt
  3. July 31, “Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2”, starring Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani.

AUGUST Releases:

  1. August 14- “Bhuj: The Pride of India”, “Attack” and “Hungama 2”
  2. August 28: Shahid Kapoor”s “Jersey”

SEPTEMBER Releases:

  1. September 11 – “Gangubai Kathiawadi” with Alia Bhatt

OCTOBER Releases:

  1. October 2 –  “Sardar Udham Singh” by Shoojit Sircar,
  2. “Satyameva Jayate 2” by Milap Milan Zaveri and
  3. “Toofan” by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra.

NOVEMBER releases

November 13:

  1. “Prithviraj”, debut film for Miss World Manushi Chhillar as an actress,
  2. “Rannbhoomi” and “Dhaakad” with Kangana Ranaut
  3. “Maidaan” starring Ajay Devgn will release on November 27.

DECEMBER 2020 : The big film during Christmas is Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha a remake of Hollywood Film Forrest Gump. In the same month Akshay’s Banchan Pandey will also hit the screens
