Naadogidal 2 Review: Minus focus on messages, the movie is fun to watch
Story in brief: A social activist on the night of his wedding day, discovers that the girl he has married was forcibly driven to the marriage by her casteist family. He sends her off with her beau. But the girl’s family is determined to find the couple, kill them and uphold their caste pride. Can the activist thwart the challenge and save the couple?
The story revolves around Jeeva (Sasikumar, an idealist), a social activist, who decides to begin a crusade against caste. Naadodigal 2 would’ve been more powerful had the film tried to convey messages through story and characterization.
In the movie messages take precedence over story, and that is what lets down the entertainment and story aspect of the film. Yet, there is humor in some scenes, you could possible enjoy in the film.
The audience reactions have also been mixed – one says – it is hard to find a movie with story line, fast paced and with a social message, another one says it is justifies the director’s imagination and not the audience, as they feel it is very preachy.
Sasikumar, has played his role with lot of intensity. Anjali also chips in with whatever best she could in her role in the film.
Go watch it if you like preachy films, about casteist , bundled with the religion of love.
