Rating Sensation ‘Bodyguard’ on Netflix is a Must Watch political thriller. BBC’s “Bodyguard” featuring The thriller star Richard Madden “Game of Thrones” was a ratings sensation in the United Kingdom, scoring over 10.4 million viewers. The web series –  About a war vetaran and a cop , after helping thwart a terrorist attack, he is assigned to protect a politician who was a major proponent of the conflict he fought in.

Story: Richard Madden as a security officer and military veteran is introduced as a character full of trauma and it builds up even more as he gets involved in a political game, between secret service ploys. It is quite a bingy watch right from the word go, and keeps you hooked to each of the episode, and not move till you reach the finale. goes.

Madden’s David Budd is on a train journey with his young children when he finds something disturbing and becomes curious to find out what’s cooking. Soon, we find the scene unfold him getting eye to eye with a female suicide bomber (Anjli Mohindra), with a complex bomb wrapped around her body. Though she doesn’t trigger the bomb, David uses intelligent negotiation tactics and win’s over the would-be terrorist and succeeds in keeping all the passengers safe. His tact and intellect is rewarded by his department and elevates him with an assignment to protect Britain’s Home Secretary Julia Montague (Keeley Hawes), a deeply conservative politician a staunch advocate of counterterrorism leading her as target for criticism, inter government debate, conflicts, challenges within, along with threats of violence.

As he gets on to his new job, and gains the comfort and the confidence of the home secretary, at one point seduces the bodyguard. This covers the first few episodes, after which the story changes dramatically, then keeps on twisting from one move to another. To get at exactly how “Bodyguard” survives many obstacles and the dirty game of politics and secret service conspiracy, it is best left for you to watch and enjoy the scenes unfolding.

The climax is very gripping. Madden, beloved as the good-hearted Robb Stark, adds new dimensions to his role with quite an impressive performance.

It is a pure binge watch, and an action thriller you wont regret sitting and watching till the end. It is full of suspense and excitement.
