‘Guilty’ on Netflix Review: The Hard Hitting Film Gets Praise from Alia Bhatt

While Alia had lauded the film and her friend Akansha’s debut, after watching the film in a preview, Siddharth Malhotra showered praise about the lead actor Kiara Advani’s ( who plays the role of Nanki) in his post about her performance in the film- a take on #metoo movement and fight against rape in campus.

The story of Guilty is about a college band and the friendship among them. Their life turns upside down when a young woman from small-town accuses one of the members of the band of sexual assault. The film takes the audience, to various twists and turns all along when the cops begin to investigate the case.

The sensational movie is set on the backdrop of a scene when a college heartthrob is accused of rape by a less popular student, his girlfriend navigates various versions of the story in search of the truth.

This story is told mostly in flashback, as a lawyer, Danish (Taher Shabbir), questions witnesses — friends, bandmates, passersby.

On the Work front the Guilty Star Kiara Advani and Sidharth Malhotra soon begin to act in an upcoming Bollywood film titled Shershaah . The movie also marks the debut of Kollywood movie director Vishu Varadhan’s directorial in Bollywood.

Shershaah will be presented by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and it is likely to arrive in theatres on July 3, 2020. The film unfolds the story of Kargil war hero Param Vir Chakra Captain Vikram Batra, who sacrificed his life for the country in 1999.

The movie is currently streaming on Netflix.
