Dharala Prabhu Movie Review: Vivek Steals The Show in Vicky Donor Remake,
Story: The story of Dharala Prabhu is about a sharp-witted fertility clinic entrepreneur who persuades an jobless and care-free man to become a sperm donor. It also deals with the person’s issues after his marriage.
Krishna Marimuthu has done a great job in dealing with not only a sensitive subject of sperm donation , but also dealing with a remake of a film to suit the sensibilities of Tamil Audience.
The story opens with Kannadasan (Vivekh), an experienced doctor ,owner of fertility clinic in Parry’s Corner, look out for a healthy sperm donor for his clients with weird demands. During the course, he comes in contact with Prabhu (Harish Kalyan), a care-free youth whose world revolves around football, his mom and his grandmother.
Kannadasan doesn’t find it easy to convince Prabhu initially, but a tragic incident induce him to accept Kannadasan offer, post with the Doctor experiences big business profits.
Meanwhile, Prabhu falls in love with Nidhi (Tanya Hope) and face huge challenges before they get acceptance nod from their parents to get married. But, Prabhu realizes that his courtship with Nidhi is about to collapse because of his sperm donation activity.
Throughout the film Vivek steals the show with his impeccable, signature style comic lines and acting excellence. The supporting actors also stand solidly behind him to make the movie worth the theater time.
If you are vivek fan go watch it. It is fun. The interesting part is Vivek’s ability to get along with the lead actors right from the 90s stars to Harish Kalyan and the great chemistry between the stars. It is indeed a delightful rom-com.
