Walter Movie Review: Sibi Sathyaraj Shines in a Poorly Scripted Movie. After the super successful trailer and the good reviews that followed, Sibi Sathyraj cop movie Walter leaves you quite disappointed.
There is no suspense, even if you are lead to believe there is suspense in the movie. While one would have expected this movie will be a notch close or higher story telling than his father’s movie Walter Vetrivel (1993) it leaves you utterly shattered.
The movie opens with great expectations with ACB Walter (Sibi) gones on a hunt to nab the suspects, involved in the baby missing case in Government Hospitals. There is so much complexity and attempt to establish the culprits, including the involvement of the Health Minister Eswara Moorthy, which kind of lets you down.
There is no element of surprise or suspense as it is a loosely written script, unlike a cop thriller where you expect lot nail biting moments. The movie could have been better of without a heroine, as it is an all out cop movie, and audience expectations are high, as one would expect from a thriller.
Even, the climax dialogues kind of sums up the movie. When the actor says I don’t understand what is happening.
It is a movie that builds lot of expectation, yet it fails in delivering the punch. Go watch it if you are a sibi sathyaraj fan.
