Prime Video to Premiere Amitabh Bachchan‘s ‘Gulabo Sitabo’ on June 12th : Its official #GulaboSitabo – starring #AmitabhBachchan and #AyushmannKhurrana – to premiere globally on #Amazon Prime Video on June 12th, 2020.
The movie is directed by Directed by Shoojit Sircar... Produced by Ronnie Lahiri and Sheel Kumar. For Amazon Prime Video it is the biggest coup of the year grabbing the world premiere of one of the most anticipated movies of the year starring legend amitabh and new generation talent Ayushmann.
The super star Amitabh Bachchan took to instagram to announce this officially. Sharing the poster Amitabh said Ek izzatdaar janaab aur uske anokhe kirayedar ki kahaani.

This is interesting and a bold move by the makers of the movie, as the uncertainty over lock-down due to COVID 19 being lifted looms large on everyone’s mind.
Touted to be comedy in Hindi the movie will be available to be watched simultaneously in 200 countries worldwide.
Directed by Shoojit Sircar, Amitabh Bachchan and Ayushmann Khurrana play two slimy characters who get entangled in a game of one upmanship, each one attracting other members to their clan and each one with an agenda of his own.
In a statement earlier the two stars spoke about their excitement
“Gulabo Sitabo is a slice of life dramedy that is a must watch for families at home,” said Bachchan, “I was excited about my role since the first time Shoojit showed me the character’s look. It took me almost three hours each day to get into character with its different look.”
“I had a wonderful time working with my very talented co-star Ayushmann Khurrana. Even though we are constantly bantering in the film, it has been a pleasure working with him for the first time. This family entertainer has the power to cut across geographic boundaries and we are pleased to bring Gulabo Sitabo to audiences across the globe.” Amitabh told about his co-star in the film.
Commenting on his role and his excitement Ayushmann Khurrana stated, “Gulabo Sitabo is a special film for me. It made me reunite with my mentor Shoojit da after Vicky Donor. Whatever I’m today is because of him and I’m happy that he made me a part of his vision again.”
Not hiding his thrill working along side the sahenshah of Indian Film Industry, Ayushmann said “Gulabo Sitabo this is the first time and it’s a huge moment, it’s a dream come true for me. I have secretly wished to work with him for many, many years and Shoojit da made this happen and I will be indebted to him forever.”
He added “It has truly been an honour for me to work with a legend and I feel enriched as an actor after the experience. What I love about the film is its sheer simplicity – the fleeting moments of simple humour in the banter between a landlord and tenant makes this film really special. I hope audiences love the film and our chemistry when it premieres.”
Earlier in the initial stages of shoot Amitabh’s look in the film created quite a stir. In a tweet from the locale Amitabh had shared how intense was the schedule. This is what he wrote.
