Rashbhari Review; Swara Bhaskar shines in this naughty seductive comedy ; To watch it or not to watch this web series is a purely left to your mind, if you think that she is alluring in the role.
Rasbhari story begins in Uttar Pradesh. Its about a new english teacher in Meerut named Shanu Bansal, who is happily married to her husband Naveen (Pradhuman Singh). All the boys in the school are awestruck by Shanu’s beauty, especially one boy in particular. Nand, who has been chasing the teenage fantasy of losing his virginity ASAP, suddenly becomes obsessed with Shanu and decides to pursue her. From paying people to stalk Shanu and keep tabs on her visitors to getting personally tutored just so he can get that ‘personal’ time, Nand’s desperation knows no bounds.
In time, Shanu’s life becomes the talking point in everyone’s life. The husbands can’t stop imagining about her, the wives can’t stop conversing about her, and Nand finds himself in a sticky situation when he gets access to information from Shanu’s past.
While the viewers would have yearned to see more of Swara Bhaskar, they might find it little disappointed. The roled essayed by Ayushmaan Saxena is brilliant, and in this character he has been able to impress the audience by displaying the various shades of teenagehood and plays a pivotal role in making the plot worth hanging around.

Many of the the episodes start with a brief throwback to Shanu’s early days in life. The audiences are fed with a thought of the moralistic judgement that comes with female sexuality – a burden not shared by its male . A young Shanu being reproached for hanging out in a group of friends that has more boys than girls gives the perfect touch of empathy. In episode 5, the creators go all out by using a mental illness to justify Shanu’s behaviour.
Swara Bhasker as an English teacher with a puzzling sex-obsessed ego is quite compelling, and it does lures you to stick to your couch uptill the end. The web series Rasbhari is directed by Nikhil Nagesh Bhat and created by Tanveer Bookwala and Shantanu Srivastava. The series features Ayushmaan Saxena as Nand Kishore Tyagi, a teenage boy infatuated with his teacher Shanu madam (Swara Bhasker) in a an entertainer way.
