The release of the 83 The Film was initially announced for 5 April 2019, and was later postponed to 30 August 2019. The release date was postponed to 10 April 2020 due to delays in pre-production. Although it was scheduled for theatrical release on 10 April 2020, the release has been postponed due to COVID-19 pandemic.
The film is now expected to hit screens on India‘s Independence Day 2020. However, there were speculations that the film will be released on some big OTT platforms, but recently, Shibash Sarkar (Group CEO of Reliance Entertainment) announced that there are no plans to release it on the OTT platforms.

Director Kabir Khan announced that the major shooting of the 83 The Film was shot in England in May 2019. The cast of ‘83 flew to London for the shooting of the movie. Principal photography began in June at locations in Glasgow, Dulwich college in London, Edinburgh cricket club, Nevill Ground at Royal Tunbridge Wells in Kent and The Oval cricket ground.
Kabir Khan stated, “Now that it’s going on the floors, starting with the Glasgow schedule, everyone’s excited to recreate a journey that made history, all thanks to our cricketing heroes of the ’83 team. In mid-June, Deepika Padukone joined film team in Glasgow for her part of shooting. The three-month schedule of the film in London was finished on 1 September. Padukone finished her portion of shooting in mid-September. The filming was completed on 7 October 2019.

Sooryavanshi is an action film directed by Rohit Shetty and written by Yunus Sajawal. Produced by Hiroo Yash Johar, Aruna Bhatia, Apoorva Mehta and Rohit Shetty. It is the fourth installment of Shetty’s Police Universe and features Akshay Kumar as the titular character opposite Katrina Kaif.

The film co-stars Gulshan Grover, Abhimanyu Singh, Niharica Raizada, Jackie Shroff, Sikandar Kher, Nikitin Dheer, Vivan Bhatena and Javed Jaffrey, while Ajay Devgn and Ranveer Singh reprise their roles of Singham and Simmba from the franchise’s previous films. Kumar’s character was announced towards the end of Simmba that served as a character introduction of Sooryavanshi
Akshay Kumar is playing DCP Veer Sooryavanshi, the chief of the Anti-Terrorism Squad. Principal photography for the film began in May 2019 and was completed in November 2019. Initially scheduled for release on 24 March 2020, the film will release in July 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
