HomeMovie Review3 Reasons to WATCH Dil Bechara and NOT to Say 'Dil Bechara'...

Dil Bechara Review: The title for the film Dil Bechara is not a befitting tribute to the star, who fought his way in the Bollywood industry and being a star to reckon with.

He has DIL but He is not Bechara

Dil Bechara

While the conversation, debate that sparked off at his mysterious death which no would believe is a case of suicide.

Here are three reasons we would say one must watch this film:

1 ) Heart Wrenching Dialogue: This dialogue sums up the movie’s essence, of life, challenges and how to live life in your own terms.

‘Janam kab lena hai aur marna kab hai, hum decide nahi kar sakte. Par kaise jeena hai woh hum decide kar sakte hain’

This dialogue give a whole new perspective and meaning to life ( Zindagi) His character has strength, and being jovial in difficult phase of life is admirable.

2) Emotive Tale : The debutant director has put his soul into the film, to showcase and display Sushant Singh Rajput and his immense talent.  Every frame reminded us of what was gone and how industry will miss talent of his calibre unexpectedly. It is essence of life, and how we muster courage to fight inevitable challenges of life, in a way that will make us feel being here, now.

3 ) Sushant is a rarity – a terrific actor with charismatic screen presence.

We have seen him perform so brilliantly in his film Kai Po Che!, Shuddh Desi Romance as the, “the irresistibly goofy Raghu” is “easily the most charming guide in Hindi and now

Dil Bechara will be remembered for the kind of adulation fans gave him, his journey from Bihar to Mumbai and what made him the star he is. The film is about the millions of fans who are paying their tribute to one of the finest talent that industry and movie sector lost.

Every body of his work will be remembered, from Detective Byomkesh Bakshy.  His work in MS Dhoni: The Untold Story and Sonchiriya was terrific. Even in uneven films like Kedarnath, he proved he has mastery over his characters on screen. He knew what will strike chord with his fans.

High on Sentiments : Fans touched by every frame in the movie

One Twitter user wrote: “Just finished watching #DilBechara. Sushant shines in every frame as he always did and the film reminds us again of the humongous loss. I don’t recall the last time a film made me cry but then again, he always succeeded in making the audience feel what he wanted. Thank you,Sush.”

Another fan wrote:

I cried the most during this scene! 🥺 And no one knows that how much I cried today!!

Sushant’s Sonchiriya colleague Bhumi Pednekar, too, watched the film and wrote an emotional note: “Full of emotions, overwhelmed and can’t stop tearing up. What a class act. So endearing and seemlessly done Sushant. Never experienced something so weirdly painful and beautiful. What a last dance .What a treat for all your fans and loved ones A Forever @sushantsinghraiput.”

The story is simple yet it stirs strong feelings: Story: As romance blooms between two youngsters fighting cancer, Kizie and Manny, they live it up to the fullest, despite the inevitable tragedy looming over them.

Dil Bechara Review: ‘Dil Bechara’ is the Hindi film adaptation of John Green’s popular 2012 novel, ‘The Fault in Our Stars’. In fact, the book’s Hollywood adaptation with the same name in 2016 met with much critical acclaim.

‘Dil Bechara’ is emotive, and draws you to realities of life. It is about celebrating life despite knowing the foreseeable, and facing the hurdles of life with higher vigour. Manny’s character who wants to literally grab every moment of the day, truly gives meaning inner human strength.

Sushant Singh Rajput, shines with a stellar performance that is sensitive, intense, lively and vulnerable. It is with a deep sorrow that one views this film, of him naturally get under the skin of his character and exude a classic charm.

Debutant Sanjana Sanghi has given a confident performance. And her chemistry with Sushant is laudable. The supporting cast, Swastika Mukherjee and Saswata Chatterjee as Kizie’s parents are brilliant and Saif Ali Khan in a cameo is noteworthy, though we would have expected him to have little more screen space. The soundtrack (composed by A.R. Rahman and lyrics by Amitabh Bhattacharya) is quite soothing.

It is a beautiful bond between love smitten Manny and how he wriggles his way into Kizie’s heart, despite Kizie trying hard to avert a heartbreak for him.

Hansal Mehta: The film had me weeping

Director Hansal Mehta showered praise on Mukesh Chhabra’s directorial debut Dil Bechara. He mentioned that the “charming film” left him teary-eyed.

“It is a charming film, a good adaptation and a wonderful debut by Mukesh Chhabra. The choice of location, the cinematography and ensemble cast are very good. Watch #DilBechara to remember Sushant and his body of work. Watch it also for Mukesh Chhabra’s assured debut. The film had me weeping… The tragedy of a life gone too soon or the tragedy unfolding with young lives on screen both had me muddled up and teary eyed – even in moments of humour. And that title track by @arrahman and #AmitabhBhattacharya is a mesmerising melody. #DilBechara” Mehta tweeted.
