Celebrating his birthday, Munnabhai MBBS, star Sanjay Dutt shared his next big 2020 movie KGF Chapter 2 Look. The poster released shows him in a pensive mood, dressed in warrior metalic outfit, and thinking deep what is his next move. With ‘KGF: Chapter 2’, Sanjay Dutt is making his debut in Kannada film industry and will be starring along with Yash.

Sanjay Dutt’s overpowering physique and mean face seems perfect for the titular role of an antagonist in KGF Chapter 2.
Sanjay looks menacing with braided hair, tattoo on his face, a staff (or a sword) in his hand and a stud in his ear. Adheera is also wearing a heavy metallic jacket. He is seated perhaps in a dungeon. The character is definitely aged as his salt and pepper beard reflects.
In KGF, director Prashanth Neel made sure that Adheera remained a mystery, with hints about his un ending appetite for power and violence. Even though Adheera is preset as a cruel master, he displays the character – as a man of his words and a hard core loyal brother.
Earlier a picture of Adheera (not showing his face) was released . It displayed a pair of hands with a dramatic ring stealing the attention. The ring has a lion’s face on it and is worn by a man who has his hands behind his back. Yash plays the hero of KGF, Raja Krishnappa Bairya aka Rocky.
On Sanjay playing the antagonist, actor Yash had explained that he had always been the first choice.
“Sanjay ji was the first choice for the role from the beginning.” Yash
Even when we planned to make the film only in Kannada, he was choice for the character of Adheera. When Prashant narrated the character, he was hell bent on signing Sanjay. We had even approached him for the first part but he was occupied with some other commitment,” Yash said.
In KGF Chapter 1, Adheera’s elder brother Suryavardhan transfers the reins of the gold mines of Kolar to his son Garuda, assuming that Adheera can’t handle political challenges. Adheera respects his brother’s choice and excuses himself from the power struggle. But, he vows that he will return and take over the gold mines if something should happen to Garuda.
And that is what exactly happens by the end of KGF. Rocky kills Garuda amid a lot of fanfare and that creates a power vacuum in Kolar. While there are multiple players bidding for control of the gold mines, the actual power struggle will be between Adheera and Rocky.
Farhan Akhtar, whose Excel Entertainment produces the movie, attached a note about his recollection of watching Sanjay Dutt shoot for his debut film and wrote: “I remember, as a kid, watching him shoot for his debut film ‘Rocky’ on bandstand and all these years later we’re finally collaborating on something special. Here’s presenting Sanjay Dutt as Adheera from KGF: Chapter 2. And here’s also wishing him a happy birthday. Big hug.”
The first part – KGF – opened to screens in India in December last year and set the box office ablaze. The Hindi version clashed with the multi-starrer film Zero and emerged victorious. Reportedly made on a budget of Rs 50-80 crore, the film scored over Rs 240 crore at the box office.
KGF: Chapter 2 went on floors in March this year, soon after which it was speculated that Sanjay Dutt could be part of the film’s cast. Earlier this month, the makers teased us with just a glimpse of Adheera and sort of convinced fans that its none other than Sanjay Dutt after they promised to release the first look on his birthday.
