Hey Fahadh Faasil fans, it’s good news. Mahesh Narayanan’s ‘See You Soon’ starring Fahadh is all set to release on OTD. The movie will premiere on Amazon Prime. Apart from Fahadh, Roshan Mathew and Darshana Rajendran will also be seen in the lead roles. Xiu Zun’s global premiere is on September 1st.

One of India’s finest actors, #FahadhFaasil is super excited about the film “See you soon”  he made during the lockdown, and all in a single frame as he calls it. He went on to say that how it’s different from the Hollywood film Searching that it has been compared to.

The actor says the secret behind his success over the years has been in uncanny strength to choose the right film maker. He says ” I pick the right film maker” and that he says is his secret of being different, being successful. In one sentences “Doing the right film film with right film maker.” Narrative for him is paramount when he does a film.

Mahesh termed it a creative experiment at a time when the film industry across the globe was struggling to overcome the impact of the crisis triggered by the COVID-19 outbreak. “We cannot even call it a full-length feature film. It’s only a random exercise, where we are experimenting with a new format.

Fahadh is effortless and always been a (minimalist) when it comes to acting process, his performances in #KumbalangiNights #SuperDeluxe and #ThondimuthalumDriksakshiyum, has created a new wave of Malayalam Cinema, which is travelling beyond the Malayalam audience.

Fahadh is a quintessential actor. Doesn’t care about the length of the role or whether it’s grey, black or white shades character.

How Fahadh Faasil succeeds

There are actors who play villain and there are actors who can play a cynical villain and be ok with a scene where the female cuts his manhood. Often times it’s sexy to play the villain , however to play a villain where you are left glorifying the other actor is something and his acting style is a book by itself.

The unique thing about fahadh is that he never want to see himself repeat in his cinema. He says he will be a bored man if that happens. His pillar of strength is his wife and dad. And, his mom is a critic of his film too, and sometimes she would just switch off when she is watching the movie if she finds her son differently, in a way she would not like him watching him in movies.

Cinema is travelling places – Fahadh Says

See You Soon tells the story of a software engineer from Kerala who is assigned to investigate his cousin’s fianc വ in Dubai who goes missing after writing a suicide note via video.

The film was shot using a phone in a controlled situation during a lockdown. The film is an hour and a half long and was shot entirely on an iPhone.

Prime members in India and over 200 countries can stream the film on Amazon Prime Video from September 1.

If I repeat myself people will get bored – Fahad Faasil

The great thing that happened in malayalam movie industry is that the current crop of actors are so secure. No one would dare to do a shammi(Kumbalangi) or a Koshi(Prithviraj – Ayyappanum Koshiyum) anywhere else. Actor like Fahadh is able to identify good script and has mastered the art of identifying good commercial cinema. Like Fahaad has done Varathan or even better Prithviraj has directed Lucifer.

Dulquer has produced Varane Avashyamund in which he is essentially playing the second fiddle. Main stream stars identifying good script and stories and are willing to take risk is a big plus to any industry. we hope it continues. we also liked Trance, it was a great performance, technically well made film and music including BGM was so good. Last film we watched in theatres before lock down.

After Take Off and Malik, Fahad and Mahesh Narayanan will be teaming up again. Produced by Fahad Fazil. Music by Gopi Sundar.

C U Soon looks so terrific, could easily be the movie of the year and wow, they already have a sequel planned. Amazon Prime has been doing a great job of picking up regional movies, instead of Netflix whose all 17 titles in its big announcement were from Mumbai. C U Soon, 1st September!

Filmykeema joins Fahadh Faasil in wishing all its malayalam readers a Happy Onam
