On his big day, the actor took to his social media handles to announce his upcoming film Dhamaka, which has been slated for a 2021 release. He also penned a little note along with the poster which read, “Aaj mera Birthday hai 🥳..#DHAMAKA hona chahiye 💥

The poster features Kartik Aaryan in a completely different avatar. He is seen sporting a bearded look teamed with spectacles. The background score followed with the picture is spine chilling, revealing it to follow an action-thriller genre.
The project is directed by Ram Madhvani of Neerja fame and is set to release in 2021. Designer Manish Malhotra commented on the post, “Dhamaka toh you are already. Happy birthday.” A fan reacted, “Aapke birthday pe to aapne hi dhamka kar diya!” One more said, “Uff your look!”
Kartik is one of the most promising faces in the Bollywood industry. His on-screen energy along with his impeccable monologue delivery, won his several accolades. On the work front, he was last seen in Imtiaz Ali’s ‘Love Aaj Kal’ sharing screen space with Sara Ali Khan. He also has ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’ with Kiara Advani and ‘Dostana 2’ alongside Janhvi Kapoor in the pipeline.

I knew this is the script that would give me the opportunity to explore a different side of me as an actor. I can’t wait to transport myself to Ram sir’s world and see his vision translate on the big screen. This is also the first time I am collaborating with Ronnie and RSVP, and I am looking forward to this journey.”
