When you’re this busy, that’s essential.
The quality of the work is more important than the quantity. Every film is a showcase for new talent. Prep isn’t just about being in shape; it’s also about connecting emotionally with your character. I make sure I’m completely familiar with my script, that I’m imagining my part, and that I’m nailing the body language.”
Yami Gautam plays a crime reporter in Chowdhury’s dramatic thriller, which deals with media integrity. It was an all-consuming project for the performer. “If we’re talking about media integrity now, it has to feel genuine.” The characters must be recognisable. I’m honoured to be a part of a film that promotes certain principles. Emotions don’t have the same importance in a fast-paced, competitive environment. A Thursday and Lost are two films that have taught me a lot about myself.”

People would comment on how it should be airbrushed or hidden when they saw me at the shoot. That would have a significant impact on me. It took me a long time to accept it and wear my self-assurance. I was blown away by the response to the post.”
