Renowned actor Mithun Chakraborty is recouping well, and getting back to pink of health after was admitted to Apollo Hospital’s emergency unit in Kolkata on Saturday following a stroke. The actor, known for his iconic roles in Indian cinema, experienced weakness in his right upper and lower limbs, prompting medical attention.
In an official statement released by the hospital, it was confirmed that Chakraborty has been diagnosed with an Ischemic Cerebrovascular Accident (Stroke) affecting the brain. Currently, he is undergoing treatment and remains under close observation by a team of medical experts.
Mithun Chakraborty‘s colleague and co-actor in the upcoming Bengali film Shastri, Debashree Roy, visited him at the hospital. Providing an update on his condition, Roy stated, “Now he is out of the ICU and recuperating in a room. He and I are supposed to shoot for the next schedule of Shastri from February 23. But now I don’t know whether he will resume on the 23rd or later. It will depend on what the doctors advise Mithunda.”

Director Pathikrit Basu, associated with the film, expressed optimism about Mithun Chakraborty‘s recovery, saying, “Well, let me tell you that I have just come out of the hospital. I met him and he is better. Mithunda also said that he would resume the shoot in a few days. He talked about the things he would be doing when he comes back on the set.”
Mithun Chakraborty’s son, Mimoh Chakraborty, provided further details about his father’s health, revealing, “He was shooting for his Bengali film Shastri from last week. He was taken to the hospital this morning.”
