Feb 29: Actor Rana Daggubati was spotted at the BoxingBay face off in the city as he engaged in a fun sparring session with some of the sport’s rising stars from Hyderabad, Tamil Nadu and Arunachal Pradesh. The encounter, which took place as a warm up before the highly anticipated BoxingBay Fight Night scheduled for today evening at Prost brewpub.
Rana, known for his adrenaline-fueled roles in action-packed films, such as Baahubali and Leader revealed his deep-rooted love for adventure sports, citing boxing as one of his favorite pursuits. Soon after the sparring session, the actor remarked, “I’ve always been drawn to the thrill of adventure sports, and boxing holds a special place in my heart. There’s an unparalleled intensity and discipline required in the ring that I find incredibly exhilarating.”
The presence of Rana at the BoxingBay face off session created a wave of excitement among the aspiring boxers, who were thrilled to have the opportunity to fun-spar with the renowned actor. “It’s surreal to share the stage with someone of Rana’s caliber,” remarked one boxer, visibly elated by the experience. “His passion for the sport is infectious, and it’s inspiring to see him dive headfirst into the world of boxing.”
