Actress Madhura Naik has unveiled the distressing impact of the Israel-Hamas conflict on her own family, mere days after losing her cousin and brother-in-law to the ongoing crisis. Speaking in a recent interview, the Naagin actress disclosed that approximately 300 of her family members remain trapped in Israel, caught in the crossfire of the escalating hostilities.
Madhura Naik, born to an Israeli mother and a Hindu father, expressed how the recent wave of attacks has turned her life upside down. She narrated the heart-wrenching ordeal of losing her cousin, stating, “My family informed me about them going missing, and it took a full day for their bodies to be identified. Their children, who were in the car with them, were returned safely by the officers on duty.”
The actress Madhu Naik went on to share her deep concern about the situation in Israel, saying, “Unfortunately, such dire circumstances have been a part of daily life in Israel. We’ve consistently faced such trying situations. My family is anxiously pondering how the situation will escalate. I felt it was crucial to bring attention to this issue through my social media post. I cannot disclose my current location due to security concerns, nor can I reveal which specific family members are stranded in Israel. Following my post, I’ve encountered a significant amount of communal hatred, and it’s disheartening to witness the lack of empathy for innocent lives. People need to understand that it’s innocent civilians who bear the brunt. This is a terror attack, akin to what transpired during the 26/11 Mumbai attacks.”

Actress Madhura Naik also disclosed that she has been receiving threats on social media in recent days. Despite these threats, she emphasized her sense of safety in India, stating, “It’s of utmost importance for Jews worldwide to stay secure. I feel extremely safe here in India, and the authorities have been tremendously supportive. If a similar situation were to unfold, I have every confidence in their unwavering support. I cherish the best of both Jewish and Hindu cultures. My prayers are for the safety and well-being of everyone.”
