Gangubhai Kathiawadi, the wait to know the release date is over. Alia Bhatt annouced on twitter that the movie will release on 30th July, 2021. Meanwhile, the teaser of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s upcoming film, ‘Gangubai Kathiwadi’ is being unveiled on the occasion of the filmmaker’s birthday.
Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Alia Bhatt have come together for the first time in a film. The film is a biographical crime film that is based on a chapter of Hussain Zaidi’s book Mafia Queens of Mumbai about Gangubai Kothewali, the madam of a brothel in Kamathipura.
Gangubhai Kathiawadi will hit theatres on 30 July 2021
The shooting of the film was halted last year owing to the coronavirus pandemic and the resulting lockdown in the country. The makers of the film resumed the shooting this year and the film is expected to hit the theatres this year.

Apart from Alia Bhatt, the film also reportedly stars Ajay Devgn and Vikrant Massey in key roles. The film celebrates the journey of a girl who became the voice for women empowerment.
