Amitabh Bachchan and his son, actor Abhishek Bachchan, who were admitted to a hospital in Mumbai after testing positive for coronavirus, are “clinically stable”, hospital sources said on Monday.

Amitabh, 77, and Abhishek, 44, divulged on July 11, through their twitter handle that they tested positive for COVID 19 and they were in the isolation ward of Nanavati Hospital.
According to reports now coming from the Hospital and people who know the family there is good news for Amitabh and Abhishek fans, “They both are in the (isolation) ward and are clinically stable. At present, they do not requiring aggressive treatment. They are okay with the first line of medication. They are being given supportive therapy,” , further the source said “Their vitals and appetite are fine”.
On Sunday, Amitabh’s daughter-in-law, actor Aishwarya Rai, 46, and her eight-year-old daughter Aaradhya also tested positive for Covid-19. Abhishek confirmed Aishwarya and Aaradhya’s diagnosis on the microblogging site on Sunday, adding that they will be “self-quarantining at home”. The actor said he and his father will “remain in hospital till the doctors decide otherwise”.
The BMC performed tests on everyone who came in contact with the Bachchan family including their support staff. Thanks to contact tracing, the authorities found out that a total of 54 people were in a state of danger since they were in close vicinity to the family in recent times. At Amitabh Bachchan’s Jalsa residence, 26 staff members were tested for the virus. Fortunately, their results came in as negative but they still have to remain in quarantine for a period of two weeks as a precaution
