According to trade reports, Avatar: The Way of Water has collected over Rs 450 crore in India, surpassing the collections of Avengers: Endgame. The film has also reportedly raked in a staggering Rs 14,060 crore worldwide.
Avatar: The Way of Water follows the story of the Sully family, comprising Jake, Neytiri, and their children, as they face off against Steven Lang’s Quaritch and his tribe. The film centers around the theme of protecting one’s family and the importance of interpersonal relationships.

The second instalment of the sci-fi franchise will release on December 16, 2022. This is almost thirteen years after the release of the original Avatar.
After unveiling the first glimpse of Avatar 2 at CinemaCon 2022, the makers have now treated fans to the official title, logo and India release date of the magnum opus. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to Instagram to share the same with the fans of the new film of the science-fiction franchise.

Ever since its inception, the makers have been doing their best not to spill any beans about the plot of Avatar’s sequels. Only recently, the first footage of the sequels was shown at CinemaCon 2022, in Las Vegas. As per reports, CinemaCon attendees were given 3D glasses to enjoy the trailer. While the clip contained almost no dialogue, the exhibitors did immerse into different regions, getting a glimpse of the dazzling world of Pandora, along with the planet’s crystal blue oceans and lakes.
