July 4, 2024: Global pop sensation Justin Bieber reportedly banked a cool $10 million for a one-hour performance at the pre-wedding sangeet ceremony of Indian business tycoon Anant Ambani’s son, Akash, and Radhika Merchant on Friday night in Mumbai.
However, unlike fellow celebrity Rihanna who attended a pre-wedding function for the couple earlier this year, Bieber made a swift exit from the country following his electrifying set.
Videos circulating on social media show Bieber arriving at Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport in the wee hours of Saturday morning. The “Baby” hitmaker, sporting a white vest, was accompanied by his entourage and security personnel. Despite fervent requests from paparazzi stationed outside the terminal, Bieber reportedly made a beeline for the airport entrance, politely declining photo opportunities.
This swift departure stands in contrast to Rihanna’s visit to India in March for another pre-wedding celebration for the couple. Rihanna not only captivated the audience with her performance but also mingled with guests and even danced with Bollywood actress Janhvi Kapoor. She graciously posed for pictures with paparazzi before departing the country.
