December 7, 2024: After breaking all records on its opening day, Pushpa 2: The Rule continues its reign at the box office, surpassing a staggering Rs 400 crore worldwide within just two days of release. Directed by Sukumar, the Telugu action drama is the highly anticipated sequel to the 2021 blockbuster Pushpa: The Rise, and it is swiftly making history on the global stage.
Early estimates for Day 2 suggest that Pushpa 2 has already crossed the Rs 400 crore mark globally, with an impressive Rs 265 crore net (India) earnings in just 48 hours. This phenomenal collection demonstrates the unparalleled excitement surrounding Allu Arjun’s portrayal of Pushpa Raj, a character that has captivated audiences worldwide.
While the film saw a minor drop of around 18% in collections on Day 2, it still grossed Rs 59 crore from its Hindi version, a slight dip from the record-setting Rs 72 crore earned on Day 1. Despite this, the movie’s momentum remains strong, with its total earnings now surpassing the entire lifetime collections of its predecessor, Pushpa: The Rise, which earned Rs 106 crore in Hindi during its entire run.

It also outperformed last year’s mega-hit Jawan, becoming the biggest Hindi release in recent times.
Massive Occupancy Across Multiple Languages
One of the film’s most impressive feats is its ability to maintain strong occupancy across multiple languages. On Day 2, Pushpa 2 recorded an overall occupancy of 53% in Telugu, 51.65% in Hindi, 38.52% in Tamil, 35.97% in Kannada, and 27.30% in Malayalam. This widespread appeal across regions further showcases the film’s mass entertainer status.
