Coronavirus Attack: Mohanlal’s Marakkar-Arabikkadalinte Simham’ Suffers

Coronavirus aka COVID-19 threat has affected the economy, trade, tourism and several other businesses, the latest to get hit is the film industry, where movie shows have reported low ticket sales across cities. The most affected is kerala wherein COVID-19 positive cases are reported.

As the government takes wide scale safety measures to curb the spread, with recent announcement to shut down institutions, and now the theaters, it has come as a jolt to the biggest movie in waiting to open in theaters.

To help the cause the malayalam industry, “Mollywood” has decided to delay the releases. The producers announced to closing down theatres from March 11 to March 31.

Some big releases like ‘Marakkar – Arabikkadalinte Simham’ releases will now will be rescheduled or postponed. Some of the movies that will be hit with this new development are Tovino Thomas – Kilometers and Kilometers,  Anaswara Rajan’s upcoming movie ‘Vaanku’, and Mammootty’s political thriller ONE.

The fans have to wait, hopefully the COVID-19 story wont be a long one, and the entertainment will return to normalcy soon.
