Delhi Ganesh, born on August 1, 1944, in Chennai, made his unforgettable mark in the world of cinema with his debut in 1976, through the critically acclaimed film Pattina Pravesam, directed by the legendary K. Balachander. This was just the beginning of a long and illustrious career that spanned more than four decades. Over the years, Ganesh appeared in over 400 films in Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam, becoming a household name and a cherished figure in the South Indian film industry.
Known for his ability to seamlessly transition between a wide variety of roles, Ganesh was equally adept at playing both villains and comic characters, often portraying fathers, friends, and mentors. Some of his most iconic performances were in films such as Nayakan (1987), Michael Madhana Kama Rajan (1990), and Apoorva Sagodharargal (1989), where he shared screen space with legendary actors like Kamal Haasan, Rajinikanth, and Vijayakanth.
