Don’t Worry Darling first teaser has become a viral rage as soon as Warner Bros. has released the trailer. But, Olivia Wilde’s presentation made news for other reasons when a process server snuck on stage and served Wilde some legal documents related to her divorce from Jason Sudeikis.

The psychological thriller, directed by Olivia Wilde, became wennt on to become the top trends on Twitter after the trailer for the film debuted on Monday.

Don’t Worry Darling takes place within the community of Victory, which the film’s synopsis describes as an “experimental company town housing the men who work for the top-secret Victory Project and their families.”

On Twitter, many fans of the former One Direction member Harry Styles joked that the film would either turn them stark-raving mad or would kill them.

“Don’t Worry Darling,” which will be released in theaters on Sept. 23, follows Jack (Styles) and Alice (Florence Pugh), a married couple in a utopian neighborhood. But everything begins to fall apart when Pugh begins to discover the company her husband works for might be up to something nefarious.

The film, by Olivia Wilde following the acclaimed Booksmart in summer 2019, is surprisingly less straight-up Fatal Attraction/Sliver and more something in line with The Stepford Wives or Get Out. With a cast including Florence Pugh, Chris Pine, Harry Styles, Gemma Chan and Kiki Layne, it’s the kind of movie that is destined to be obsessed upon by Film Twitter and those who mourn the loss of the mainstream erotic thriller. Will regular audiences show up too?

The film also stars Chris Pine, Gemma Chan, KiKi Layne, Sydney Chandler and Nick Kroll.

The film isn’t the first time Styles has graced the big screen — he appeared in 2017’s “Dunkirk.” More recently, he was introduced as as Eros/Starfox to the Marvel Universe in a cameo in “The Eternals.”

But “Don’t Worry Darling” marks Styles’ first leading role in a film that isn’t about his former boyband “One Direction.”

“me at the movie theaters everyday after don’t worry darling comes out,” one person tweeted alongside a picture of Styles in a theater seat, grinning wide, while a scene from the film played behind him.

Shortly after the Don’t Worry Trailer was released, grids of images of Styles’ different looks and moments in the film began racking up thousands of likes and retweets.

Some who shared the grid suggested Styles was aging in reverse, said they’d gleefully allow him to “run me over with a car,” and admitted they “will not survive this movie.”

The community is led by the company’s CEO, Frank (Pine), who has created an environment inspired by “1950s societal optimism”. Acting as both a “corporate visionary and motivational life coach”, Frank’s influence hangs over every member of this utopian society.

While the town’s husbands are off working at the Victory Project Headquarters, their wives get to enjoy a seemingly perfect life of luxury within the community – all of which is provided entirely by the company, provided the wives adhere to its rules of “discretion and unquestioning commitment to the Victory cause.”

Of course, we’ve read enough Huxley, Bradbury and Orwell to know that any society built upon utopian ideals is usually hiding something dark and sinister beyond its shiny veneer, and the trailer for Don’t Worry Darling certainly suggests that.
