At t he 67th Filmfare Awards 2022 three films emerged as the giant winners; Kriti Sanon starrer Mimi, Vicky Kaushal-led Sardar Udham and Sidharth Malhotra’s Shershaah.The awards ceremony on Tuesday night witnessed the congregation of the who is who of the Hindi film industry.

OTT releases stole the limelight at the Filmfare awards ceremony. Mimi revolved around a small-town girl from Rajasthan, played by Sanon, who gets offered Rs 20 lakh to act as a surrogate for an American couple. The middleman was played by Pankaj Tripathi. Though the film was not the favorite of film critics, it did grab sizeable audience attention. The movie had a digital release on Netflix.

Sardar Udham, helmed by Shoojit Sircar, was loved by the audience and film critics alike. It was based on the story of ‘revolutionary’ Udham Singh who avenged the massacre of Jallianwala Bagh by shooting Michael O’Dwyer in London, in March 1940.

Shershaah, produced by Karan Johar, was touted as the most viewed films on Amazon Prime Video. The film featured Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani as the lead pair. The film was focussed around the life of Captain Vikram Batra, who fought till his last breath during the 1999 Kargil war.

Besides the winners, all the celebrities from Bollywood put their best fashion foot forward as they walked the red carpet of the Filmfare awards ceremony. While Katrina Kaif and Shehnaaz Gill looked every bit gorgeous in their sarees, Kiara Advani, Kriti Sanon, Rakul Preet Singh, Sharvari Wagh looked chic in their gowns. The men including Vicky Kaushal, Varun Dhawan, Arjun Kapoor, and Ranveer Singh looked dapper in their crisp suits.
