October 28, 2024: In a thrilling move, the makers of the hit web series Mirzapur have announced Mirzapur: The Film, set to release in 2026. The film will bring back beloved characters, including Pankaj Tripathi as Kaleen Bhaiya, Ali Fazal as Guddu Pandit, and Divyenndu as Munna Tripathi, whose character’s return was hinted at in a recent video.

The video, shared by Prime Video India, features the main cast and teases Divyenndu’s comeback. His character was killed off in season 2, but the actor’s statement, “I’m immortal,” suggests otherwise.

Producers Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar of Excel Entertainment expressed excitement about adapting the acclaimed series into a film. “We believe that adapting such a treasured series into a film will undoubtedly make for an even more engrossing watch,” they said.

The film will have a nationwide theatrical release, followed by streaming on Prime Video in India and 240+ countries and territories eight weeks later.
