For HanuMan, the Telugu audience contributed ₹5.89 crore to this stellar opening, while the Bollywood version added ₹2.1 crore to the collection. The Teja Sajja movie experienced a remarkable 55.65% surge on the second day, soaring to ₹12.53 crore. The Telugu version led the charge with ₹8.4 crore, while the Hindi adaptation contributed ₹4.13 crore to the escalating Box Office figures.
Even before its official release, the Prashanth Varma film teased the audience with a paid premiere exclusively for Telugu viewers, pocketing a cool ₹4.15 crore on Thursday. With a Gross Box Office Collection of ₹14.05 crore in India and an additional ₹9.45 crore from overseas markets, “HanuMan” has globally garnered an impressive ₹23.5 crore.
Merry Christmas, HanuMan Collection Elevates Box Office Mood
On the flip side, “Merry Christmas,” with its blend of suspense and drama, collected ₹2.55 crore on its release day. The Hindi version contributed ₹2.3 crore, while the Tamil version added ₹22 lakh to the opening day figures. Anticipated as a heartwarming tale for the festive season, the movie continued its journey with an estimated ₹3.50 crore on the first Saturday, bringing the domestic collection to ₹6.05 crore after the second day.
Merry Christmas, however, found an alternate route to success as it secured streaming rights with Netflix for a whopping ₹60 crore, as reported by Bollywood Hungama in July 2023. The publication, citing insider sources, also hinted at satellite rights fetching an additional ₹60 crore, solidifying the movie’s financial success beyond the Box Office.
