October 29, 2024: Panaji, Goa – Rana Daggubati’s film 35 – Chinna Katha Kaadu has found the jury interest and will be screened at the Indian Panorama, a prestigious segment of the 55th International Film Festival of India (IFFI). The festival has an impressive lineup featuring 25 Feature Films and 20 Non-Feature Films. This year, the selections were made from a remarkable pool of 384 contemporary Indian feature films and 262 non-feature films, showcasing the diversity and richness of Indian cinema.
The The breezy family entertainer 35 Chinna Katha Kaadu is directed by Nanda Kishore Emani, and has won praises for his directorial finesse. 35 Chinna Katha Kaadu is a film that highlights the pressures children face within the education system and the crucial role parents play in nurturing them. The jury has selected Swatantrya Veer Savarkar, directed by Randeep Hooda, as the opening film in the feature category. This Hindi film is anticipated to set the tone for this year’s festivities. Additionally, the non-feature category will kick off with Ghar Jaisa Kuch, a Ladakhi film directed by Harsh Sangani, emphasizing the power of storytelling across cultures.
The Feature Film Jury, led by director and actor Dr. Chandra Prakash Dwivedi, comprises twelve industry professionals known for their significant contributions to Indian cinema. The Non-Feature Film Jury, under the chairmanship of renowned documentary filmmaker Shri Subbiah Nallamuthu, includes six members dedicated to recognizing excellence in this category.

The IFFI 55 will take place from November 20th to 28th, 2024, in Panaji, Goa, organized by the National Film Development Corporation in collaboration with the Union Ministry of Information and Broadcasting and the State Government of Goa.
