Infamous Harvey Weinstein Tested Positive for Novel Coronavirus

The infamous, imprisoned man Harvey Weinstein has tested positive for Novel Coronavirus. This was widely reported in the US and the NY State Prison Department where is currently kept, has issued a statement confirming the report.

The aging Hollywood Film Producer , Harvey Weinstein who was hospitalized recently with heart related complaints, was diagnosed and quarantined after he was transferred from the State’s maximum security Wende Correctional facility near Bufflo.

He was tested positive for the coronavirus at a state prison in New York while serving a 23-year sentence for rape and sexual assault, the head of the state correctional officers union said Monday.

In the meanwhile NY State Correctional Officers and Police Benevolent Association President ,Michael Powers, said Weinstein was one of the prisoners with the virus. Five officers and two supervisors at Wende were also placed in isolation because of possible exposure to the virus, he said.

The infamous Harvey Weinstein was convicted in February of a criminal sexual act in the first degree and rape in the third degree, while being cleared of predatory sexual assault charges. The film producer was convicted of raping ex-actress Jessica Mann in 2013 and of forcibly performing oral sex on former production assistant Mimi Haleyi in 2006.

According to medical reports, and governmental agencies claims, coronavirus causes mild or moderate symptoms such as fever and cough, and the vast majority recover. For some, especially older adults and people with existing health problems, it can cause more severe illness, including pneumonia, or death.

Many countries and cities in the world are under complete shutdown due to COVID-19 spreading thick and thin. The most affected countries are China , Italy and now Spain is facing the huge challenge of minimizing death of its citizens due to coronavirus.
