The series, set to premiere on January 11, 2024, introduces a world where a simple mishap propels budding cook Swathi Shetty and her partner Umesh into a whirlwind of accidents, setting the stage for a bizarre crime thriller.
The teaser, shared on Instagram by Netflix, hinted at the series’ quirky premise with the caption, “Umesh and Swathi are stirring up the most bizarre crime thriller of the year – and the secrets are about to boil over! KILLER SOUP TRAILER OUT NOW!!”
Renowned actor Manoj Bajpayee, portraying the character of Umesh, expressed his excitement about his first double role in his career. He emphasized the distinctiveness of the roles and praised the directorial prowess of Abhishek Chaubey, along with the stellar cast that brought life to the characters. “Killer Soup is a surreal pot-boiler unlike any other stemming from an accidental crime,” Bajpayee stated, underscoring the series’ genre-bending nature.
