Spider-Man Across the Spider-Verse trailer is now up for views across the world. It also gives us the glimpse of Mumbattan Spiderman. In contrast to the prequel in 2018, the new trailer offers something novel and distinctive. Here, we see an elderly Miles Morales conversing with his worried mother. After several flashbacks to the first act, the teaser introduces new images of Hailee Steinfeld’s Miles and Gwen Stacy exploring various planets and encountering various superheroes.

The makers of the Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse also unveiled pictures of Spider-Man India, who resides in the Mumbai-Manhattan hybrid known as Mumbattan, Spider-Punk by Daniel Kaluuya, who is closer to Gwen than Miles would like, and Mayday Parker, the young, spider-powered child of Peter B. Parker and Mary Jane Watson. The movie’s theme song will be composed by the musician Metro Boomin.

Sony released a new Across the Spider-Verse teaser on Tuesday, giving us a new look at Miles Morales, Gwen Stacy, and Peter B. Parker’s upcoming adventure even though Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse 2 isn’t due out until next year. As the Marvel heroes run into Spider-Man 2099’s Spider-Society, the CGI animated film has even more visually amazing effects than the original.

We see flashes of Issa Rae’s motorcycle-riding Spider-Woman, Jorma Taccone’s villain Vulture and Oscar Isaac’s brutal Spider-Man 2099. The trailer then jumps to Miles being attacked by the other Spider-Men as Miles and Gwen ponder over who the real heroes are.

The CGI animated Spider-Man Across the Spider-Verse is scheduled for release on June 2, 2023

After a scene with Miles taking to his mom, We catch glimpses of Spidey 2099 (Oscar Isaac) and Spider-Woman (Issa Raye) — aka Jessica Drew, who’s pregnant like she was in the character’s 2015 comic series. Also visible (at around 1:25) is Spider-Man from the PlayStation games.

Actor Hailee Steinfeld (who plays Gwen) joined writer-producers Phil Lord and Chris Miller to reveal more about the movie in a YouTube Premium-exclusive “afterparty” on Tuesday. There’ll be some tension between Gwen and Miles since she’s been invited into the Spider-Society, but Miles hasn’t.

Fans were over the moon after watching the trailer. One fan wrote, “Cinema is back baby.” Another fan wrote, “The animation is amazing. I see why they delayed. They were cooking.” Another fan was glad that the trailer did not reveal the plot details. They wrote, “Honestly? Good. Trailers these days often reveal way too much and it’s gotten kind of annoying. I’d rather a trailer contain just enough things to leave me curious and excited than show me snippets of the entire plot.”

The first film introduced the audience to Miles Morales, a teenager who has been bitten by a spider and must embrace the role of a superhero after the Spider-Man in his universe, played by Chris Pine, dies.

The film was highly applauded and won Best Animated Feature Film at the 91st Academy Awards.

Directed by Joaquim Dos Santos, Kemp Powers and Justin K. Thompson, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse stars Shameik Moore, Hailee Steinfeld, Jake Johnson, Issa Rae, Daniel Kaluuya, Jason Schwartzman, Brian Tyree Henry, Luna Lauren Velez, Greta Lee, Rachel Dratch, Jorma Taccone, Shea Whigham and Oscar Isaac.

The Oscar-winning Into the Spider-Verse came out in 2018 and followed Miles as he became the new Spider-Man in the wake of Peter Parker’s death in their universe. Miles’ first adventure saw him running into a bunch of Spider-People from other universes.
