Nawazuddin Siddique; One Night Stand, Absentee Father in a tight spot
Ghoomketu and the Sacred Games actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui is in the spotlight with his separated wife Aaliya Siddiqui (Anjana Kishor Pandey ) is demanding a divorce. This is shocking news for the industry, and to many of his fans about his personal life in turmoil, and what goes on in his personal life. It is not a very happy note as his wife has been going around and saying very unpleasant things about their married relationship.
Lot of things might have led to it, as they did not make much public appearances together, in his books sometime ago Nawazuddin had talked about a One Night Stand in New York with a waitress who probably knew about the star watching his movie Lunchbox. He had narrated at length about a one night stand he had with a waitress in New York City, the brief from his book read, “Those years between 2006 and 2010 were pretty incredible too.
Sharing the nostalgic moment from his book the actor had written, I was at a cafe once with my friend in New York City’s Soho area. The beautiful looking waitress kept eyeing at me. ‘You? You are an actor?’ she asked a question. ‘Yes!’ I replied. ‘Which film of mine did you see? Gangs of Wasseypur?’ She looks around un-seemingly clear, trying to remember, ‘No, no,’ she said. ‘Another film!’ After pause, she replied: ‘Lunchbox!’ We got talking and let’s just say what happens in New York stays in New York…This had sparked numerous rumors about his past , during the time his divorce became media headlines.
We hear, Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s wife Aaliya Siddiqui has sent a legal notice to the actor, seeking a divorce and an end to their 10-year long marriage. Aaliya had served Nawaz divorce papers via email and WhatsApp earlier recently, after a decade of marriage. She has also accused his family, especially brother Shamas, of emotional and physical abuse.
Speaking to a Mumbai based publication, Aaliya is reportedly was seeking custody of both the children. According to reports serious allegations of sensitive nature in the notice emerged yet , Aaliya’s lawyer commented, “When the matter is taken up in the court, then probably things will come out.”
Here is what Aaliya Siddiqui posted in her social media handle, and wrote: This is Aliya Siddiqui. I am forced to put the truth concerning me on Twiter so that there is no miscommunication. Let the truth not be silenced by misuse and abuse of power. Truth cannot be bought or be manipulated with.

It was shocking to hear Aliya state “I never got the respect that a wife deserves, never in front of others, never in person. From a rickshawala to a superstar – everyone respects their wife. I have been suffering this since years, one shouldn’t be insulted so much that the person starts feeling suffocated.”
In a recent interview she had spoken boldly and said “I have not told anything to the kids, though they are upset and keep asking me ‘papa kahan hai?’, ‘kahan shoot kar rahe hai?’ I keep telling them that he is shooting in New York, US but then for how many years should I do that?” she said
The interesting thing is Even Niharika Singh (who was in a relationship with Nawazuddin) stating she was unaware of his marriage. Looks very strange indeed, how Nawazuddin is known to be hiding things about his life with his friends or even with his girl friend Niharika Singh.
Aaliya had told earlier that they have had so many fights and disagreements in their over a decade-year-old relationship — from the time they dated in 2004 and culminating into a marriage in 2009 — Aliya and Nawazuddin have 2 kids — Shora (9) and Yaani (5).
Aliya did find sympathy in the social media for the sorry state of affairs between her and Nawazuddin.
In her latest tweet she posted which is below, she wrote I am now learning to stand up & speak for myself, be strong, for the sake of my children I have not done any wrong till date & therefore I am not worried However I do not appreciate anyone harming my reputation or character to save someone else. On the work front, Nawazuddin’s latest release Ghoomketu, has not been getting good reviews and everyone seems to say that the movie did not deliver what it stood for. It is quite patchy and many of the scenes were kinda let down. Ghoomketu is currently streaming in Prime Video.
