Netflix ‘Trapped” will get you trapped till you finish watching it

This series might not have caught your attention. But if you are one of those who like to binge and immerse yourselves in a police drama then this is has the right dose of excitement, scenic views, brilliant acting. It is well directed and keeps you hooked, we would rather say ‘Trapped‘ until you finish watching the series.

Set in the background of a small yet mesmerising small Icelandic town where a series of crimes (murders included) need to be solved. It makes you feel real, and kinda engages you with every character.

The writing is quite smooth, and well written and as you begin to watch the series, you begin to fall in love with well built/developed characters. The beauty is that you will find the characters just normal. It has all the elements that will make you immersed.

The Plot of Trapped : It is all about Just human greed and stupidity, playing out in the way you’d expect. It is in a locale that has a population of less than 3000 people and just 3 policemen. And, a killers among them.

The beauty of Trapped is The series has ended in both a pleasingly conventional and unconventional manner.

A wonderful setting and the drama of a big storm accentuates the claustrophobic community and gives the crime element a grimness and urgency. The local police chief, Andri, is the focus of the story and his acting is exemplary. Simply enjoyable! Supporting characters, the two other local uniformed police officers, the ferry captain and the Rekyavik cast all contribute to a very watchable and dramatic series.

You will most certainly love the murder drama set is an isolated small town is a well-worn trope, really just an extended version of the locked room mystery, or the country house killing. But when the small town is in northern Iceland, that’s an unusually claustrophobic setting and ‘Trapped’ uses its location perfectly.
