May 25, 2025: In a recent statement, Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan expressed his disappointment over the Telugu film industry’s apparent lack of engagement with the state government. Kalyan, highlighted that, despite the government’s efforts to accord industry status to Tollywood and develop the sector, film industry representatives have not met with Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu even a year after the formation of the NDA alliance government.

Pawan Kalyan emphasized that the government’s initiatives aim to uplift the film industry, ensuring that filmmakers’ respect is upheld. However, he noted that the industry’s representatives have not reciprocated this gesture of goodwill.

He pointed out that filmmakers often approach the government during movie releases but fail to engage in discussions about the industry’s development.
