The creators of Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan today revealed a stunning poster of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan to introduce her role, after the character images for Chiyaan Vikram and Karthi.
Taking on the part of the vengeful queen Nandini, the actress looks magnificent in the poster, with captivating eyes, long hair, and a stunning appearance in a saree, and magnificent Jewellery.
Madras Talkies shared the new poster of Aishwarya as Nandini and wrote, “Vengeance has a beautiful face! Meet Nandini, the Queen of Pazhuvoor! #PS1 releasing in theatres on 30th September in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada.”

After more than four years in the film industry Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will make a comeback with Ponniyin Selvan. Aishwarya discussed Ponniyin Selvan in an interview recently, referring to it as Mani Ratnam’s “dream project.”
“You know this is something I wanted to make right from the beginning,” he remarked when he came and shared with her, the actress said. I feel incredibly fortunate and privileged that he asked me to participate in his ambition. I believe that starting there is so rewarding in and of itself.
The magnum opus Ponniyin Selvan, the first part, PS-1 featuring some of the most outstanding actors of our time of Vikram, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Trisha, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Sarath Kumar, Vikram Prabhu, Sobhita Dhulipala, Jayaram, Prabhu, Parthiban, and Prakash Raj is slated for a worldwide release on September 30.
The forthcoming historical drama is based on Kalki Krishnamurthy’s 1995 novel of the same name. Talking about the plot of the film, the movie chronicles the tale of one of the most mighty kings in the South. Bankrolled under the banner of Madras Talkies in collaboration with Lyca Productions, the background music of the film is scored by Oscar-winner AR Rahman.
The movie arrives in theaters on September 30, 2022 in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada.
