PrimeVideo Shinning Horror ‘Doctor Sleep‘ Streams on May 17th
Stephan King‘s Doctor Sleep finally arrives on Prime Video on May 17th. The story revolves the theory ‘Dare To Go Back’ it is about 40 years after the events of ‘The Shining’, Dan Torrance (Ewan McGregor) who is forced to confront his memories, and the powers that shaped him.
Forming an unlikely alliance, Dan and Abra engage in a brutal life-or-death battle with Rose. Abra’s innocence and fearless embrace of her shine compel Dan to call upon his own powers as never before—at once facing his fears and reawakening the ghosts of the past.
So, it takes you on to a journey of Dan ‘Danny’ Torrance (Ewan McGregor) who at the age of five years old discoveres he has the ‘shine’, a mystic power to communicate with others who share the same telepathic ability.
Danny leverages this skill to escape the Overlook Hotel when his father suffered a mental breakdown and nearly killed Danny and his mother.
Forty years later, Danny suffers from alcohol addiction, in his attempt to suppress the trauma of those terrifying memories. But when a young girl Abra Stone (Kyliegh Curran) starts to connect with him, Danny is left with no choice but to finally confront the evils of his past.
‘Doctor Sleep’ by Stephen King is a sequel to his book ‘The Shining’. It is an amazing movie with solid writing, and solid performances by the lead cast. It is great to watch Ewan McGregor perform with brilliance the actor of pain, of a man who survives an attempt to be killed by his father.
Actor, Rebecca Ferguson brings out a menacing adversary in Rose the Hat, leader of the True Knot cult. Cliff Curtis, as Dan’s friend Billy Freeman, is equally powerful in their roles.

Watch the Trailer of Doctor Sleep: We like to say this horror movie is for those who enjoyed ‘The Shining’, as it is a truly worthy sequel or can we say a successor.
