HomeMovie ReviewPrince Movie Review: Sivakarthikeyan excels in this inventive jolly comedy

If one has to watch Prince, The movie Prince, with Sivakarthikeyan in the titular role, is unique a comedy entertainment and in one line an inventive comedy. The comedy is refreshing, and if you go with an open mind you will overlook its flaws and enjoy it.

The storyline of Prince Movie is straightforward. It centres on the love story between a British girl and a Tamil guy from a fictitious town close to Pondicherry (Sivakarthikeyan plays Anbu in the film) (Maria plays Jessica). As Anbu’s father (Ulaganathan), Sathyaraj is a fervent anti-casteist who wants his son to wed someone from a different caste. Anbu, a social science instructor, expects that his father will be pleased with him for dating a person from a different nation when he falls in love with Jessica (British), an English instructor. Ulaganathan doesn’t support their relationship because his father was murdered by the British during the war for freedom; instead, he is opposed to it. He therefore doesn’t want a citizen of that nation to be a member of his family.

Prince Movie Review: An experimental film that attempts comedy differently

The movie makes extensive use of pun and quirky one-liners. Prince won’t let you down if you enjoyed what Anudeep did with Jathi Ratnalu. The jokes are effective everywhere they are utilised, even though the movie is not as consistently humorous as Jathi Ratnalu.

Prince Movie Review: Its fun, its lots of fun in a different manner

Prince would not have been made to work this hard without Sivakarthikeyan. His endearing on-screen persona and unrivalled sense of humour keep the movie together. As the father, Sathyaraj is equally as good and works well with Sivakarthikeyan in numerous sequences in Prince Movie. It’s a pleasure to watch their on-screen chemistry come to life.
