    May 30, 2024: Legendary actor Rajinikanth, popularly known by his fans as Thalaivar, a pillar of Indian cinema for over four decades, is embarking on a spiritual journey to the holy shrines of Kedarnath and Badrinath in the Himalayas. Spotted at the Dehradun airport on May 29th, 2024, Rajinikanth revealed his travel plans to the media.

    Clad in a simple attire, the beloved actor, shared his joy in anticipation for the pilgrimage. This spiritual retreat comes after Thalaivar successfully wrapped up filming for his upcoming movie, “Vettaiyan,” directed by T.J. Gnanavel.

    The news coincides with the recent online buzz around a picture from the sets of “Vettaiyan” featuring Thalaivar along with the film’s crew. The image showcases the iconic actor sporting a unique look with ruffled hair and beard, hinting at his character in the movie.

    Lyca Productions, the production house behind “Vettaiyan,” confirmed the filming completion by sharing the picture on their social media platforms. The movie boasts a star-studded cast including Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, and many more.

    Earlier in May, fans were delighted to see glimpses of Thalaivar and Amitabh Bachchan shooting together for “Vettaiyan.” The camaraderie between the two legendary actors was evident in pictures shared by Bachchan on his social media. Lyca Productions also celebrated the meeting of these titans of Indian cinema on their platforms.

    Thalaivar is also expected to visit the Mahavatar Babaji Cave, a revered pilgrimage site located in the Himalayas. This isn’t the first time the actor has sought spiritual solace at the cave; he visited it during the filming of his recent release, “Jailer,” directed by Nelson Dilipkumar.

    This Himalayan sojourn is expected to last for a week, following which Rajinikanth will return to Chennai and commence shooting for his next film, “Coolie,” directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj.
