Actor Ranbir Kapoor and his family are facing a complaint that has been lodged against them in Mumbai , citing alleged religious sentiments hurt during their annual Christmas celebration. The controversy stems from a viral video showcasing Kapoor pouring liquor on a cake and uttering “Jai Mata Di.”
As of now, no First Information Report (FIR) has been initiated regarding the incident. The complaint, lodged by Sanjay Tiwari through lawyers Ashish Rai and Pankaj Mishra at Ghatkopar police station on Wednesday, highlights Kapoor’s act during the Christmas party.
Tiwari’s complaint emphasizes religious reverence, stating that in Hinduism, the fire god is typically invoked before other deities. Allegedly, Kapoor and his family’s use of intoxicants while chanting “Jai Mata Di” during another religion’s celebration is the crux of the matter.
