Rangbaaz Phirse, the Zee Premium Original is a story of a young college student Amarpal Singh (Jimmy Sheirgill) from Jaipur, Amarpal is a Rajput who is preparing for UPSC with big ambition to become an IPS officer.

He begins his life journey by winning and becoming a leader in student elections, mooted by his friends.

Amarpal’s life changes in a big way as he begins his marital life. As a young IPS aspirant he and his wife ‘Rukmani’ (Spruha Joshi) as he gets involved in politics through an accidental meeting with with a ‘Jaat’ Jairam Godara (Sushant Singh), whose life he saves.

Soon, Amarpal Singh again stands in ‘Panchayat’ elections. He and his wife campaign heavily in the elections but still lose just by two votes because of an influential and powerful crime lord Raja Phoghat’s (Sharad Kelkar) influence and efforts who later topples Amarpal Singh’s life to expand his criminal business.

Amarpal Singh and Jairam Godara become thick friends and they hatch a plan to destroy and over power Raja Phogat’s growing business and power. It happens swiftly and amarpal singh turns into a powerful man, obsessed with growing hunger to become stronger and go to dizzy heights.

In the journey filled with turmoil, amarpal finds himself deep into the complexities of politics and unable to counter the new twists fall into the prey of circumstances and goes into jail.

Enter, Gul Panag plays Ananya Chaudhary, a stockbroker having lost 13 crores in the stock market who comes for help to Amar Singh requesting to save her from the debtors and what her character does later is surprising.

The entire sequences of episodes are worth binge watching as the plot thickens. Though it gets a little difficult to understand what the story is trying to achieve as the characters and their story goes back and forth to establish their life journey.

Rangbaaz Phirse is your window to the Rajasthani culture, about Rajput’s, Jats’s Gujjar and communal political gang wars in a thrilling engaging way.

The dialogues scripted for each of the characters are compelling and does a fine job to create an impact with audience.

Every actor in the original performed their role with great intensity, combining aggression and emotions. .

Jimmy Sheirgill and Sushant Singh have combined well as friends, with conflicting ambitions and their attempt to explain the true way of life to each other.

Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub impresses as a smart, intelligent student and turning into a smart cop ( inspired in many ways with his younger days hero Amarpal Singh).

Director Sachin Pathak and the writer of Rangbaaz Phir Se writer Sidharth Mishra have certainly put in honest effort to present an engaging plot that unfolds in a manner that viewers clinge on to all the episodes non-stop till the finale. It has the right dose of of thrill, drama and emotions to keep hooked from the start to finish.
