Feb 12: Ranveer Singh, stirred a big debate on social media and on the internet as viewers were treated with an advertisement of him on February 12, featuring alongside, none other than adult film actor Johnny Sins. The ad, which serves as a promotion for Singh’s sexual wellness brand, took an unconventional approach by parodying the melodramatic tropes of traditional ‘saas-bahu’ television serials.

The advertisement quickly garnered attention across the internet for its unexpected pairing and unique concept. While some viewers expressed astonishment at the collaboration, others hailed it as the “biggest crossover” event.

Speaking about his involvement in the campaign, Ranveer Singh, who is also a co-founder of Bold Care, emphasized his commitment to raising awareness about men’s sexual health. He stated, “I’m here with sincere intent to use my influence for raising awareness and making a positive impact.”

The ad, crafted by writers Tanmay Bhat, Devaiah Bopanna, and their team, was directed by Ayappa KM, known for his previous collaborations with Bhat on successful ad campaigns such as the Rahul Dravid x CRED commercial.

In the advertisement, Johnny Sins portrays a man grappling with sexual health issues, depicted in the style of a typical ‘saas-bahu’ drama. As Singh’s character intervenes to address the situation, Sins’ on-screen wife laments his inability to perform adequately, remarking, “His Johnny can’t sin.”

Maintaining the dramatic flair of the genre, the scene escalates with a slap from the mother-in-law, followed by a resolution facilitated by Sins and the sexual health product endorsed in the ad.

Despite the unconventional nature of the advertisement, it underscores a bold step towards destigmatizing discussions around men’s sexual health and promoting accessible solutions.
