To celebrate the Prithviraj Sukumaran’s birthday, Salaar’s producers revealed his first look poster on Sunday. The crew, lead by KGF franchise director Prashanth Neel, released the first image of Prithviraj from the high-budget action movie.
Prithviraj Sukumaran, who turned 40 on Sunday, will play Vardharaja Mannaar in Salaar. In the billboard, Prithviraj was depicted emerging from coal dust, with a beard, a tilak, scars on his face, and brows. The actor is also seen wearing a choker, a septum ring, and ear studs.
Prashanth Neel took to Twitter and wrote, “Birthday Wishes to the most versatile @PrithviOfficial , Presenting Vardharaja Mannaar from Salaar.”
Hombale Films also shared the same first look officially and wished Prithviraj a happy birthday, writing, “Parallel or mainstream, Arthouse or commercial, he has always made sure to strike a balance n delivered stupendously with an entertaining n engaging act. To the most versatile @PrithviOfficial a very Happy Birthday.”

Prithviraj Sukumaran also took to Twitter and thanked the makers for unveiling his first look from the film. The actor wrote, “Thank you #HombaleFilms #PrashanthNeel #Prabhas and the entire team of #Salaar! 😊 #VardharajaMannaar will see you in theatres on the 28th of September 2023!”
Shruti Haasan plays the female protagonist in Salaar as well. The film’s adversary is Jagapathi Babu, who has developed a reputation as a fashionable bad guy. The much anticipated movie has retained composer Ravi Basur and cinematographer Bhuvan Gowda, both of whom worked on the KGF series.
Salaar is among the most awaited movies, with Prabhas dorning the role of a “violent character”. The film was made public in 2020 and went on floors in January last year. Salaar is gearing up to release on September 28, next year and will clash at the box office with Hrithik Roshan-Deepika Padukone starrer Fighter.
