Vicky Kaushal, who previously collaborated with Meghna Gulzar on the critically acclaimed movie ‘Raazi’, appears to have fully immersed himself in the character of Sam Manekshaw, donning the iconic handlebar mustache that defined the military legend. The actor took to Instagram to share the excitement, captioning a new poster with a teaser for the upcoming trailer release.

The trailer, a continuation of the previously released teaser, showcases Vicky Kaushal’s impeccable portrayal of the revered military figure, illustrating his tough leadership and interactions with prominent figures like the then-Prime Minister, Indira Gandhi. Set against the backdrop of the late 1960s and early ’70s, the film promises to be a compelling depiction of Sam Manekshaw‘s illustrious career.

Scheduled for release on December 1, ‘Sam Bahadur’ has been scripted by Bhavani Iyer, Shantanu Shrivastava, and Meghna Gulzar. The movie was shot in various locations, including Punjab, Kashmir, and Delhi, and is being produced by Ronnie Screwvala’s RSVP Movies, known for their previous collaboration with Vicky Kaushal on the blockbuster hit ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike’ in 2019.

The film is set to go head-to-head with the much-anticipated movie ‘Animal’, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna. ‘Sam Bahadur’ also features a talented ensemble cast including Neeraj Kabi, Edward Sonnenblick, Richard Bhakti Klein, Saqib Ayub, and Krishna Kant Singh Bundela in pivotal roles, promising an engaging cinematic experience for audiences.
