Shah Rukh‘s ‘Betaal’ Trailer has high dose of Shock,Suspense,Horror
The trailer of Shah Rukh Khan – Red Chillies series Betaal is out and we thought we should review it. It is a series after the earlier work by Graham titled Ghoul: Now does it live upto the expectations of a betaal experience. The trailer does give you enough dose of Shock, Suspense and Horror.
Betaal Trailer Review: The crux of the story is Evil is eternal. The makers of ‘Get Out’, ‘Insidious’, ‘Bard of Blood’ and ‘Ghoul’ has attempted an unusual genre, a different horror series.
It revolves on a mission to displace the natives of Campa forest in order to build a highway, Sirohi and his squad unwittingly unleash the curse of Betaal mountain that wreaks havoc on the people and threatens to end civilization as we know it.
Sounds, truly like a havoc, now what we need to know is does it keep you hooked. Yes, the trailer does it well, but like Ghoul, when the original series opens on TV will we have the same excitement of horror. One has to wait and watch.
Written and directed by Patrick Graham (Ghoul) and Nikhil Mahajan , you might expects something to similar what these writers have created but Patrick in a statement after the release of the trailer says “After Ghoul, I wanted to create a different kind of horror series, which was more action packed and accessible. The concept of a cursed mountain containing an ancient spirit takes inspiration from Indian mythology, and it’s about time we saw some zombie redcoats in popular fiction. The series weaves its own ghost story to give backing to the action and suspense that then follows.”
While Netflix has not been showing the best of Indian content, as they have been throwing lot of shows that kind of makes you feel that you need to switch off and move on to other OTT platform.
But Grahm says Netflix nurtures creativity and he loves working with them. He sounded little pessimistic as he went on to state, “I hope there is enough horror, suspense, shocks and, above all, strong characters to keep the audience hooked right up until the very end. You can expect some blood, some guts, and a lot of drama and emotion that should provide an exciting binge-session for everyone at home.”

Hired to displace tribal villagers to make way for a new highway, officials unearth an old curse and an army of British soldier-zombies.
The initial reaction from some of the fans of Horror series is : this must really be a zombie series because Katekar is back from the dead.
Another one said Thumbnail guy looks like Zombie Hrithik Roshan, we also have lot of praise for Vineet, the “mukkebaaz” actor he has put in a lot of hardwork and dedication he gives his very best in the series.
This could be something like TUMBAAD, well we hope so.
