Expressing gratitude in an acceptance speech, Shankar Mahadevan shared, “Thank you boys. Thank you God, family, friends, and India. India, we are proud of you.” The mention of India prompted an enthusiastic cheer from the audience, with Mahadevan extending thanks to his wife for unwavering support.
The ‘Shakti‘ band, comprising guitarist John McLaughlin, percussionist V Selvaganesh, and violinist Ganesh Rajagopalan, added another accolade to their illustrious careers with the Grammy win.
