December 14, 2025: Shilpa Shetty’s Bengaluru pub became the centre of late-night drama when a heated argument broke out among patrons after midnight, an incident that was captured on CCTV and later went viral on social media, prompting police to step in and launch a probe.
The visuals, recorded at Bastian on St Mark’s Road, show a tense verbal confrontation among a group of patrons around 1.30 am on December 11. While the clips capture raised voices and brief heckling, there is no evidence of physical violence in the footage reviewed so far.
Shilpa Shetty Bengaluru Pub Incident Caught on CCTV
Bastian is part of the upscale restaurant chain founded by restaurateur Ranjit Bindra, with whom Shilpa Shetty entered into a business partnership in 2019. One of the individuals seen in the viral video is businessman Satya Naidu, a former Bigg Boss participant and the former spouse of a television news anchor.
Initial police inputs suggest the argument stemmed from a minor disagreement over payment of the bill. The situation reportedly escalated verbally before pub staff stepped in and diffused the tension, preventing further disruption.
Confirming official action, the Deputy Commissioner of Police (Central Division) said the police have taken suo motu cognisance of the incident. Those present during the altercation have been summoned for questioning as part of the inquiry. Authorities are examining the CCTV footage and witness statements, and have stated that a formal case will be registered if any cognisable offence comes to light.
The development comes amid ongoing legal troubles for Shilpa Shetty and her husband, businessman Raj Kundra. The couple recently moved the Bombay High Court seeking to quash a ₹60-crore fraud case linked to Kundra’s firm, Best Deal TV. They have been accused of allegedly diverting company funds for personal use.
In their plea, filed through senior advocate Prashant Pati, the couple maintained that the actor has no prior criminal history and argued that the series of cases filed against them amounts to a miscarriage of justice and a violation of fundamental rights.
