‘Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan’ is truly admirable effort by Actor Ayushmann Khurrana who has always chosen experimental and movies that strong social message and this movie about homosexual love story is no different. The movie has risen to the pre-release expectations and fans of the actor wont be disappointed after watching the film.
This movie adds another feather to the actor’s cap after the hugely successful Bahaai Ho. The expectations at the box office was on a high after the trailer was launched. It gave us a glimpse what the movie is all about. With the talented actor, wearing a nose ring, looks funky and also goes all out to convince his family about his love and his lover’s family. It is an interesting genre and looked very refreshing.
The story revolves around a simple town guy and how his family reacts to his love relationship with another guy . ‘Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan’ is a non-stop drama, filled with loads of emotions in a same sex relationship, played with brilliance by Ayushmann and Jitendra Kumar.
The brilliance of the film lie in its simplicity. A strong narrative combined with brilliant acting and music .Terrific performances by Gajrao Rao and Neena Gupta essayed the role of parents of Jitendra and opposing his romance with Ayushmann. Kudos to the makers of the film, the story writer and the director who have handled a sensitive subject with so great maturity and sensibility.
Ayushmman has always been an experimental star, he made his debut with Vicky Donor, to a man prematurely balding in Bala, a man dealing with erectile dysfunction in Shubh Mangal Saavdhan a movie that deals with same sex relationships and challenges.
